Tips On How To Learn Guitar Fast
There was a time when everyone I knew has dappled with the guitar and know a few chords. So for someone who hadn’t exactly held a guitar, I always thought the instrument shouldn’t be too hard to learn but, boy, was I ever wrong. You actually need to have determination in order to learn, otherwise, it would be too easy for you to ditch the whole thing. I am very certain though that if someone were to diligently guide you on what to expect during the learning process, you wouldn’t be quick to leave and would in fact welcome the challenges as you’re better prepared and ready. One great guide you can get is Learn and Master Guitar by Steve Krenz but to get you started, here are a few tips.
Training your fingers to become nimble and strong enough to easily shift chords and hold them there can be the biggest challenge for you as a beginner because it can hurt a lot. Learning how to position your fingers might look easy but it can be a pain, literally. You can avoid the pain if you know the right warm-ups and strengthening exercises for your fingers and even if there’ll be pain, you can make it worth your while if you make sure you have nailed the right techniques from the get-go. Buy Learn and Master Guitar if you want to go and learn techniques and exercises from the pros as early as now. Mastering the guitar requires you to know proper techniques earlier so you will not have to unlearn bad habits and relearn the basics in advanced lessons.
So how do you position your hands? First, your left hand should be trained before you move on to the next. This makes learning easier. Your left hand should be positioned in a way that no sound will be muffled when you pluck or strum with your right and in order to do that you need to start with the proper positioning of your thumb.
The mistake of many first-timers is that they often fail to pay attention to proper thumb positioning, specifically, and technique, in general. This is because you can often get caught up with the excitement of being able to play your first song. I’ve been there so I truly understand. But you don’t want to build habits that are hard to break and that will impede your playing later on.
Regardless, your thumb should be placed halfway down at the back of the neck of the guitar and should be firmly planted there. The only part of the thumb that should be touching the surface is its left pad. Curling your thumb or bending it is a no-no. Keep your wrist bent in and not out or backwards when you’re doing this. If you want to check out the diagrams for these hand and finger positioning, among others, check out Learn and Master Guitar Reviews. Compare this product with other programs of its kind by going to a general reviews site like ReviewMOZ.org.
