Lanzarote - A Travellers Guide
Of all the hotspots around Europe, the Canary Islands are probably the most reliable for year round good weather. This is thanks to their location off the coast of Morocco, making them the most southerly port of call in the whole Eurozone, but the island that stands out from most is Lanzarote.
The seven islands that make up the Canaries are segregated into two main areas. The western Canaries - which revolve around the main island of Tenerife and which also include El Hierro, La Gomera and La Palma.
And of course the eastern Canaries - which are governed from Gran Canaria and which also encompasses Lanzarote and Fuerteventura.

The island is home to three main resorts. Playa Blanca is a hot destination in recent years and holiday villas in Playa Blanca have become very popular with tourists over the last few years, as they offer decent value for money. And are the best choice during the winter months when the climate here is more favourable than elsewhere on the island.
