Sometimes The Vehicles Are Stars Also
If a auto is featured heavily in an legendary motion picture or television show, it could make that car famous. Sometimes about as famous as every little thing else in the movie or show. The cars from classic shows and movies are famous too, and may command high selling prices as a result. Granted, sometimes it could be due to "product placement," when a motion picture company deliberately puts a car in a movie to boost demand.
Behind the right wheel can mean a scene is up to steal
Chances are just about anybody may think of a couple of famous autos from TV or motion picture that have a special place in their hearts. Some individuals even buy a car based a movie they saw this summer or remember from their youth. Here's a small list of some legendary vehicles.
- The Chevy Camaro; many a TV show and movie have had Camaros in them. Among the lots of the recent "Lost" auction was a Camaro from various episodes. The "Transformers" films featured a vintage and new Camaro, which certainly helped marketing campaigns and sales.
- Ford Mustang – Steve McQueen in "Bullitt" famously drove a 1968 Ford Mustang GT Fastback. Consider also the 1973 Mach 1 and also the 1967 Shelby GT500. Both were central to the plots of the original and remake version of "Gone in 60 Seconds." Ford was not oblivious to any of this at all. They offered a "Bullitt" package on the 2001 Ford Mustang.
- The DeLorean DMC – 12; the only auto ever made by DeLorean was made a star by "Back to the Future". It certainly looked futuristic, but drivers lamented the vehicle for being woefully inadequate under the hood and for being a complete lemon.
- Dodge Charger – not only did a 1968 Charger chase Steve McQueen in "Bullitt," a Charger was "General Lee" from the "Dukes of Hazard" TV series and recent film, and it was featured in Quentin Tarantino's "Deathproof."
- Pontiac Trans Am – The Trans Am was "KITT" from "Knight Rider," and it was within the "Smokey and also the Bandit" films.
Nobody does it greater
Say what you will, but you are nevertheless wrong. The most iconic auto in any motion picture or TV show, anywhere, is, was, and always will be the Aston Martin DB5. That's why a DB5 used in "Goldfinger" went for more than $2 million several years ago. Aston Martin and James Bond go way back. "Goldfinger" made the car famous. The vehicle also made it into "Goldeneye" and "Casino Royale". The new generation of Aston Martins were in "Die An additional Day," "Casino Royale," and "Quantum of Solace," and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service" had a late 60's DBS. Nobody expects the link between Bond and Aston Martin to die. The film series may have given the car maker the Midas Touch.

Grandma and Grandpa are More Involved in Parenting than Ever Before
When my parents no longer had children at home they re-upholstered their living room couches in white fabric. It was wonderful - they said that it reminded them of heaven - but it also screamed "No children live here".” Years later the couches are still beautiful but distinctly dimmed because although no children live there, children do come to visit frequently.
Regardless of new folklore accounts of the footlose and the childless lives of numerous retirees, the fact still remains that even though parents may have finished raising their own children, they soon become grandparents, which typically means that their lives are not child free.
Grandparents Taking on the Role as Parents
Numerous grandparents find themselves taking on the role as parents when parents are not able to care for their own children. With a greater need to two incomes to look after the family, countless grandparents take on the role as childcare provides during the day where they babysit their grandchildren on a constant basis.
As a result, you will find many more childproofed grandparent homes than you have in previous generations as grandparents are forced to straddle the line between being a grandparent and acting in the role of a part time parent. Grandparents find themselves involved in discipline and many of the other day-to-day tasks of parenthood.
Remember the Child When Planning for Safety
The most crucial time that a grandparent requires thinking like a parent is during the time they are preparing safety components within their home. A home that sees children often requires childproofing to some degree. Make sure that caustic chemicals in addition to cleaning agents are stored away in cabinets. Medicines should be hidden out of sight, preferably in a cabinet that is locked.
It is important to lock Tazers in a gun cabinet, along with any extra weapons that children shouldn't operate. Although Tazer guns are not thought of as a lethal device, make sure that children aren't around them unsupervised. Serious injury can occur from the misuse of this weapon. While you may only have children in your home on rare occasions, it typically only takes one time for something terrible to happen, so make sure that anything dangerous to children is locked safely away.
