Three things to ask before purchasing an iPhone Case
Apple's iPhone has created a massive surge of products on the market directed at protecting your smartphone. These range from thin iPhone cases, to just about indestructible ones like the Otterbox. But which one is right for you? The fact of the matter is that the iPhone's design is so desirable, why should you use one at all? Protection, plain and simple. And the best way to save your iPhone is with a good screen protector and a good quality case. Dropped from any reasonable height, your smartphone will break, leaving you with a cracked and possible non-working iPhone. Having a case on your smartphone increases the possibility that daily drops and dings your phone encounters don't render it useless. Here are three points to ask yourself before settling on a case: 1. What's my budget? Setting your budget is pretty self-explanatory, but do not set it too low. Occasionally a little extra will make a massive difference in your iPhone protection. You usually get what you pay for when it comes to cases, and a case bought from a cheap store most likely is not going to offer the protection you are after. Spending as little as $10 more could save you ten fold your investment in the long term. 2. How will I carry it? Is this going to be in your pocket, purse or belt? This may be the main factor in deciding the style and thickness of your case. You would like to look for one that fits your lifestyle. For instance if one is going to drag your iPhone of your pocket all day, you might need a slim, non-rubbery case. Since having a thick one that's tacky will prevent you from simply removing it from your pocket. And if you might going to have your smartphone attached to your belt you'll want to look for a case that has the screen facing inward for additonal protection. 3. What kind of environment will this be in? You should take a look around your environment. Is this iPhone going to be used outdoors in a soiled environment? If this is so you may want to use something such as an Otterbox. If not, then something less craggy will suffice. In the end it is a personal choice which is your decision to make. Style could be a significant element and trump some of the bulkier cases on the market. In any event, you can want some protection level for your iPhone.
